I had the opportunity to have a sneak-preview of the Slumdog Millionaire and I have to say I rather liked it. Apart from the fairy-tale story, the film is very well made, I think.
But I seem to be in the minority. Most of the people around here think that it does not deserve the plurality of Oscars it received.
And what do you think?

Yes, once you find out what the story is all about, it becomes a bit devalued. But in terms of film narrative I think it is just brilliant.

I thought the first hour was stunningly marvellous, and the second a little humdrum.
Definitely deserved a couple of Oscars though.
