I ended up in Venice and on the Croatian coast last week. So the Barcelona-deprived holiday was not too bad!

Now I have to get the dry skin on my heels into a presentable condition... Could be mission impossible. (Don't be too disgusted, just be thankful I haven't posted a picture of that too!)

It does sound pretty elegant, doesn't it?
Yet the crucial piece of information you are missing is that Venice is just 2,5 h drive from where I live. I've visited many times - once just for the evening, to go to a casino (nothing too fancy here - I was monitoring the competition for one of the clients at work). So Venice is a consolation prize for me in every respect.
