Degrees of disappointment

It's a good thing I collected all those novel ideas in the previous post. I will have lots of time for reading.

I was supposed to be in Barcelona today, and tomorrow, and the next several days. No such luck.

My little nine-year old treasure, who wanted to go to Barcelona and get the Bojan footballer outfit, got ill. High temperature and all. 
When I told him that we can't travel when he's in a state like that, he almost started crying. So did I.

These things happen for a reason, right? We obviously needed to stay at home and have some quiet time. I know it sounds funny, but I'm enjoying staying at home and not doing much other than reading, too. It would have been soooo nice to go to Barcelona, though.

Eh, well, what can you do. In Deana24's famous words: buggeration.

sometimes it's good to just go with the flow.
when you do actually go to barcelona, the trip will be even better, because you had to wait a bit longer...

To add insult to injury, the little one is now feeling all better and wants to go out. Of course he can't (yet) so he whines non stop and doesn't let me read.

I love him anyway :)
